Cancer Prevention
It all begins with prevention. However, today’s screening methods aren’t prevention, they’re “early” detection.
When you do a mammogram and find a small mass, it means that you have already developed hundreds of millions of cancer cells, your natural killer cells didn’t do their job properly killing those cancerous cells and now they’ve grown.
We all have cancer cells circulating in our bodies, but if we’re healthy and our immune system works how it should, those cancerous cells are targeted and killed by our own natural killer cells. Doctor Connealy from Cancer Center for Healing always says cancer takes 10 years to develop, we let it grow by letting down our immune system.
So, what can we do?
Eat a healthy diet, avoiding ultra-processed foods, which means eating food that doesn’t come in a package. But also,
If you do buy cheese, butter, and other packaged food, check the labels! You would be surprised!
Ditch the plastics in your kitchen: Teflon pans, Tupperware, plastic spatulas, plastic covered baking paper, etc.
Ditch the aluminium, don’t cook with it.
Filter your water.
Be careful what you put on your skin and hair too… there’s too many chemicals in our products that can disrupt our hormones and our immune system.
Get good sleep
You shouldn’t snore.
You should wake up rested.
Exercise
Sweating and getting oxygen in our cells is very important.
Also, muscle mass helps you be healthier in general.
Sun & environment
Getting sun exposure as much as you can, because Vitamin D is very important for our bodies in general
Comes hand in hand with good sleep because of our circadian rhythm
Our environment matters: Fresh air (also at home), no long exposure to EMFs, minimise VOCs exposure too.
Stress
Stress puts your body in fight or flight mode, elevates your cortisol, your immune system is put into second place because now it’s a matter of “survival” for your body so it focuses mainly on producing cortisol. We have that mechanism built into from our “living in the wild” days. Stress reactions protected us against bears, so having prolonged stress takes a toll on our body and our immune system.
Mood and community: Happier people live longer.
